Established in 2012 and operated by Kimberly and Brian Dunlap, it was sold to its new owners Aric and Rachel Bleyenberg in 2026 but continues on as the exclusive home of Kimberly Dunlap Coaching and Team Willow Ridge. With shared values and vision, we look forward to the next chapter of equestrian education excellence and the same quality standards of care that Willow Ridge is known for.
We are now accepting limited applications for new clients for mid-summer and will be continuing to host clinics and special events in 2026. Plus, we plan to bring back our summer Dressage/WD show series in 2027!
Here, you'll find a welcoming and supportive group of equestrians who value ongoing education, excellence in care, and a training philosophy that prioritizes the mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing of the horses.
We believe in a "wholistic" approach to horsemanship, where all things are considered within the whole of the horses' life; including quality and individualized nutrition, tack fit, social life, as much turnout as possible, access to quality hay 24/7, and training that puts the comfort and confidence of the horse and rider first. We believe horses that are sound and comfortable in mind and body perform better and more sustainably.
While Willow Ridge does first identify as a Classical Dressage program, Biomechanics, Rehabilitative Modalities, and Behavioral Science is integrated into everything we do. Showing is encouraged for those who desire to but is not required or pressured. The priority, instead, is the successful cultivation of a deeper connection with our equine partners.
Riders of any breed of horse and training level are welcomed and encouraged. We work first for the preservation, enhancement, and improved soundness of the equine, and customize care to each individual as appropriate.
We offer boarding, coaching, and training, and accept clients with shared values on a limited basis according to fit vs. empty stalls. Interested parties should contact Kimberly to apply.
The farm is located on 23 quiet, picturesque acres near Hudsonville, MI, where you will find a truly private retreat – close to town but worlds away.

I very much appreciate Kim's approach to instructing, focusing equally on the rider and the horse to achieve the desired outcome. My lesson with Kim provided me with several "aha moments" which have stuck with me and helped me and my horse progress through the winter. Excited for our next lesson! ~ Carmen Medina

Turnout Options On a fundamental level, we believe that horses do better mentally, emotionally, and physically with more freedom of movement and time with their herd mates. However, we appreciate that some owners feel strongly about their horse being in at night, so we will again be offering a stalled every night option. Owners who desire more turnout can opt to allow their horse to stay outside in fair weather.
Xtra Large Double Stall: (12x20) Add $200/month
**Minimum Lesson Requirement: $300 (4/month)
** We offer lessons in Biomechanics, Classical Dressage, Western Dressage, General Horsemanship, Long Lining, Groundwork, Alignment-Based Lunging Techniques, Equine Wellness, & Energy Work.
